Taste of the Caribbean Restaurant & Catering Prep Cook / Kitchen Prep Associate/Floater in Newark, New Jersey
Key ResponsibilitiesWash, peel, chop, slice, and prep vegetables, meats, and ingredients•Prepare sauces, marinades, seasonings, and signature Caribbean bases•Portion and label food according to kitchen standards•Assist with daily kitchen setup and breakdown•Maintain clean prep stations and sanitize surfaces•Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines•Store food properly using FIFO methods•Assist cooks and chefs during peak service times•Take out trash and help keep BOH organized.
