Kelly Services Point Operator (Machine Operator) in Newark, New Jersey

Join the Kelly® Professional & Industrial team as a Machine Operator (General Utility Associate – Point Operator) with a global manufacturer of industrial packaging systems and protective solutions supporting manufacturing and logistics operations worldwide.

? Why you should apply to be a Machine Operator:

? Location: Newark, NJ 07112

? Pay Rate: $20.02/hour

? Shift: Monday – Thursday | 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM

? Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm (3-month initial contract)

? Work Setup: Onsite, manufacturing environment

What’s a typical day as a Machine Operator? You will:

Pack finished products onto skids for shipment.

Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.

Band products on skids and install side boards for secure transport.

Stretch wrap finished products and move them to designated shipping areas.

Operate a powered saw to cut wood for custom skid assembly.

Use pneumatic nail/staple guns to assemble skids.

Assist with forklift operations (walk-behind forklift; training provided).

Read tape measures and calipers to ensure accuracy.

Complete required paperwork and production documentation.

Notify glue operators of product defects or quality concerns.

Assist with tying bales when the baler becomes full.

Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.

Support additional production tasks and overtime when required.

? This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Manufacturing or production experience preferred.

Ability to repeatedly lift between 5–50 pounds.

Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 9 hours per shift).

Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures or calipers.

Comfort working with hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power equipment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
