The Preschool Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing, serving, and maintaining safe and nutritious meals and snacks for young children in accordance with health, safety, and nutrition guidelines. This role ensures a clean, organized kitchen environment while supporting the overall well-being of children in a preschool setting.
Qualifications Must have or be willing to obtain ServSafe Food Handler or Food Protection Manager Certification within a specified timeframe (e.g., 3090 days of hire) Maintain current certification as required by local/state regulations
High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in food service, childcare, or institutional kitchen preferred Knowledge of basic nutrition and food safety practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to lift up to 2530 pounds and stand for extended periods
