Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment Event Operations Assistant (Part Time) in Newark, New Jersey
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Prudential Center is seeking an experienced Event Operations Assistant to work with the Event Operations Department. This position will assist Event Managers with the planning and execution of Prudential Center events through accomplishing various event-related tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW:
Provide support to venue Event Managers on assigned event days
Assist with administrative tasks, including maintenance of department manuals and documents
Oversee new hire documentation for union personnel
Act as a venue liaison for designated concert VIP programs
Additional responsibilities to be assigned by the Event Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-2 years of event-related experience
Must have the ability and willingness to work long hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must be organized and have superior communication skills, including speaking, writing, and proof-reading skills
Must possess outstanding problem-solving capabilities to address and resolve issues that may arise
Fantastic client and customer service skills abilities
Must be self-motivated and passionate for working in a live events environment
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work environment: This position generally requires that work be performed from the Prudential Center/New Jersey Devils offices, but attendance at events taking place in the arena or offsite, including on weekends and/or holidays, may be required
Travel Requirements: May travel up to 5% during the year
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $25/ hour. Hourly non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
This position will be an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
