System One Analytics Project Manager in Newark, New Jersey

Job Title: Analytics Project Manager

Location: Newark, New Jersey (hybrid, on-site 3x per week)

Type: Contract

Compensation: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution and delivery of large-scale IT projects for utility clients, ensuring adherence to organizational goals and standards.

  • Manage project teams, including internal personnel, contractors, and vendors, providing proactive leadership and clear communication.

  • Create comprehensive project management plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to meet project objectives.

  • Monitor project progress, timelines, and deliverables, proactively identifying and addressing risks to ensure successful project completion.

  • Manage project financials, track actuals versus plans, prepare monthly forecasts, and report on project status using dashboards and status reports.

  • Coordinate with schedulers and teams to develop work breakdown structures and ensure requirements are documented, reviewed, and approved per standards.

  • Establish effective communication channels for project updates and stakeholder engagement.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, with proven ability to manage analytics projects.

  • Experience handling project financials, schedules, scope, and testing.

  • Solid understanding of project management processes and procedures.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Smartsheet.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining strong relationships and effective communication.

  • Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Must be able to go into the office 3 days per week.

  • PMP Certification preferred
