Hologic is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager, NPI to lead cross-functional teams in delivering new or upgraded products within our Operations organization. In this pivotal role, you will oversee projects from initiation to completion, including planning, resource management, scheduling, and risk mitigation, ensuring our products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Newark, DE. The Senior Program Manager, NPI will represent Operations on core project teams and serve as the main point of contact for all operations activities, managing communication to both stakeholders and project engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the NPI core team representative for Operations, acting as the primary contact for Operations activities in core team meetings.

  • Lead overall project management of large and/or multi-product, complex, and technically challenging manufacturing transfers and new products.

  • Define project scope, objectives, budget, and execution strategy for assigned projects.

  • Estimate resource needs, obtain budget proposals, and track project risks, issues, and actions.

  • Identify gaps in critical success factors (resources, skillsets, budget) and take appropriate escalation and corrective actions.

  • Set and manage expectations with team members and stakeholders, holding teams accountable for deliverables.

  • Utilize the internal phase/gate project process to execute projects and ensure Operations documentation is complete and compliant.

  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, driving daily activities in support of NPI and manufacturing transfer plans.

  • Develop and track project KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, and other metrics; provide regular status reports on progress, outcomes, and milestones.

  • Develop and execute a communication plan to give stakeholders clear visibility to project status.

  • Communicate and document project issues, changes, and risks; coordinate escalations and Steering Committee meetings when key decisions are required.

  • Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring effective interfaces and interdependencies between functions.

  • Be accountable for the overall success of assigned projects, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.

  • Drive risk identification and management throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring effective mitigations and contingency plans.

  • Adhere to business processes, manufacturing transfer processes, and all applicable QMS procedures.

  • Apply continuous improvement methods and promote learning from “lessons learned”; champion opportunities to implement new tools, technologies, and methods to improve the NPI process.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (preferred); College degree required.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of relevant project management experience with a non-technical degree.

  • 6+ years with a technical Bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience with NPI, manufacturing transfer, or complex technical projects preferred.

Skills & Attributes

  • Proven project management and leadership abilities with diverse, cross-functional teams.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and resources for multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing, quality systems, and operations processes.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $119,300 - $186,600 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
