Aerotek Senior Electrical Technician in Newark, Delaware

Hiring a Senior Electrical Technician Near You

Up to $50/hour on Day Shift!

Engage directly with machine operators and manufacturing technicians to provide essential technical support for the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing processes and equipment. Your role will involve generating, approving, organizing, and maintaining technical documentation, as well as developing safe and efficient procedures. You will train production personnel in equipment operation and safe work practices, while supporting production through daily interactions with operational personnel and engineering team members. Furthermore, you will plan and implement equipment upgrade projects focusing on continuous improvement and obsolescence.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with various operations and engineering functions to execute process and equipment validations.

  • Participate in project team meetings to provide ideas, methods, or processes for performance improvement.

  • Ensure knowledge of industrial control components, motors, PLCs, HMIs, and robots.

  • Familiarity with NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 79.

  • Read and update electrical schematics.

  • Exhibit strong electrical troubleshooting skills using measurement tools and calibrated devices.

  • Support installation and troubleshooting of controls components, vision systems, and high precision measurement devices for industrial equipment upgrades or replacement.

  • Understand machine change orders, equipment installations, and functional verification of industrial manufacturing equipment.

  • Make precise adjustments and measurements to delicate equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient electrical skills with the ability to support the installation and troubleshooting of controls components.

  • Expertise in electrical troubleshooting, industrial controls, NEC, PLCs, and HMIs.

  • Ability to read and update electrical schematics and blueprints.

  • Strong understanding of PLC ladder logic and configuring electrical components.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $93600.00/yr.
