JPMorgan Chase Risk Management and Compliance Chief Data Office - Data Risk Management-Associate in Newark, Delaware

As an Associate in the Risk Management and Compliance Chief Data Office, you will support delivery of our data risk management roadmap and help build firmwide data governance capabilities. You will partner with stakeholders across business and technology to operationalize processes that strengthen data quality, privacy, protection, and responsible use. Together, we will maintain procedures aligned to firm policies and continuously improve how we manage data risks.
Job responsibilities
Support execution of the data risk management roadmap
Partner with Risk Management, Business Process Owners, Data Providers, Data Owners, Data Quality Managers, Control Managers, and technology teams
Manage data risks including privacy, protection, use, description, quality, retention, and destruction
Operationalize data risk processes and keep them evergreen
Maintain procedures aligned to firm Data Risk Policy and Standards
Drive operational improvements across data risk domains
Track and report progress, issues, and risk indicators to stakeholders
Facilitate clear, effective communication across business and technology
Coordinate inputs from data owners/providers and control managers to resolve gaps
Contribute to building scalable data governance capabilities
Prepare concise materials and insights for leadership decision-making
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor's degree
3 years of leadership experience in Finance, Risk Controller, Reporting, Business Analysis, Data Governance, or Project Management
Demonstrated ability to lead projects with minimal oversight
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Excel for manipulating and analyzing large datasets
Ability to create clear, structured presentations and narratives in PowerPoint
Experience with risk management applications or tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills to build credible relationships with business and technology partners
Effective change management skills with adaptability in evolving environments
Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Finance-related bachelor's degree
Conceptual understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and SQL
Experience with business intelligence tools such as QlikView and Alteryx
Experience defining and driving operational improvements in data risk management
Familiarity with data governance roles and operating models across large organizations
Interest in leveraging AI, large language models, bots, and agents to enhance business operations
Experience maintaining evergreen process documentation aligned to firm policies and standards
