Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Scientist – Engineer to support process development and applied R&D activities within the Electronics organization. This role contributes to the development, optimization, and scale‑up of processes and experimental methods, working closely with cross‑functional partners to enable robust and manufacturable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Execute and support process development and applied R&D projects from concept through pilot or manufacturing readiness
Design and conduct experiments; analyze results to guide process and equipment improvements
Develop and refine experimental setups, fixtures, and tooling as needed to support R&D activities
Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Applications, and Safety teams to transfer learnings and implement improvements
Prepare technical documentation including test plans, reports, and procedures
Apply a strong safety mindset in all laboratory and pilot‑scale work
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in process development (R&D, pilot, or manufacturing‑adjacent)OR
Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Chemical Engineering with 2+ years of relevant process development experience
Experience in experimental design, data analysis, and applied problem solving
Ability to work hands‑on with laboratory or pilot‑scale processes and equipment
Desired Skills
SolidWorks
AutoCAD
3D printing / rapid prototyping
Simulation / Modeling tools such as: Finite Element Analysis (FEA) / Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
CNC equipment programming
LabVIEW
Python coding
