ConEdison Sr Specialist - Transmission Project Development in New York, New York
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction/Project Management or equivalent and 4 years of experience in managing and/or supporting technical, utility infrastructure projects or
Associate's Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction/Project Management or equivalent and 7 years of experience in managing and/or supporting technical, utility infrastructure projects or
High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of experience in managing and/or supporting technical, utility infrastructure projects
Relevant Work Experience
Strong oral and written communications, particularly in a technical, project environment, required.
Experience working in a team, tracking tasks and reporting progress, required.
Computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office, required.
Familiarity with services, construction, Design Build/EPC contracts and contract development, negotiations, and administration, preferred.
Familiarity with project schedules, utilizing Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent software, preferred.
Experience with electric utility, specifically substation and transmission, projects, including engineering/design development and street construction activities, preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and other collaboration tools, preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
Driver's License Required
Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred
Additional Physical Demands
The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be willing and able to work in the field and office environment.
Must be willing and able to travel throughout the company service territory and surrounding areas, and travel to company locations.
Must be willing and able to wear the required PPE as needed.
Must be willing and able to walk extensively, climb ladders, perform inspections in manholes and trenches, and travel or walk on uneven paths.
Must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions, both indoors, outdoors.
Must be willing and able to work in the vicinity of high voltage equipment (live electricity), transmission lines, and confined spaces.
Must be able to use personal vehicle for company business on a daily basis.
