Job Description
Operations Services is looking for a dedicated professional who is highly motivated, self-reliant, resourceful, and articulate to join the department as a Senior Specialist. The successful candidate must have excellent leadership skill, exercise good judgment and render sound and technical decisions to support the oversight of the departments vendor led programs. To succeed in this position, the selected candidate must demonstrate a positive work ethic in support of the Companys Corporate Values and Mission. Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
CONTRACTOR FIELD OVERSIGHT: Perform routine field visits to provide oversight of contractor field activities for Astoria Operations contractors and Ops Services Vendor Management led programs: ORU truck testing (conducted at Orange and Rockland locations), rubber goods, capital tool repair and hot sticks testing. Maintain documentation on vendor performance.
CONTRACTOR INVOICE REVIEW: Compare vendor invoices, work tickets, and supporting documentation against internal work management systems, audit invoice for accuracy and flag any discrepancies and/or inconsistencies. Assist in maintaining internal tracking reports and identify potential fraud risks in vendor billing.
VEHICLE VIOLATION PROGRAM: Coordinates with Automotive Engineering to update registration data, maintain internal vehicle registration records for submission to violation vendor, logs vehicle camera violations into Maximo.
COMPANY TOLLING PROGRAM: Runs reports to maintain vehicle registrations in EZ Pass program, uploads new vehicles into the corporate EZ Pass program, identifies vehicle info discrepancies between reports and vendor system.
ASSET MANAGEMENT: Coordinates with Operating areas included in Capital tools program to identify, label, and audit new and existing tool inventory.
RUBBER GOODS PROGRAM: Coordinate with Operating areas regarding rubber goods exchanges, manage rubber goods return rates between Operating areas and vendors for CECONY and O&R.
O&R TRUCK TESTING: Coordinate with vendor and Operating areas regarding upcoming testing cycles, scheduling, billing, and any administrative related matters.
PROCEDURE SUPPORT: Work in tandem with Sr. Specialist on procedure/policy reviews, editing, and publishing for the Facilities and Field Services organization.
Support the goals of Astoria Operations to ensure maximized safety, quality, efficiency, reliability and customer satisfaction.
May perform other related assignments as required to support departmental needs.

The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
