ConEdison Sr Engineer - CENG, Steam Plant Systems Engineering, Boilers in New York, New York
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 8 years of engineering work experience focused on the design, analysis, and modification of industrial systems. or
Master's Degree in Engineering and 6 years of engineering work experience focused on the design, analysis, and modification of industrial systems.
Relevant Work Experience

Recognizes the importance of leadership, maintains a commitment to excellence, and ensures outstanding customer service, required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), required.
Hands-on experience in electric and steam power plants, required.
Working knowledge of high-pressure boiler operations and balance-of-plant equipment maintenance, required.
Knowledge of State and Federal regulations affecting steam plant operations and knowledge of industry codes and standards (i.e. ASME Boiler / Pressure Vessel code and B31.1, NBIC, NFPA 85, etc.) and process safety measures, required.
Knowledge of boiler Burner Management Systems (BMS), preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
Driver's License Required
Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred
Physical Demands
Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold
Ability to be approved to wear and use either a full or half-face respirator, without facial hair or other conditions that may interfere with the seal, in accordance with OSHA regulations
Additional Physical Demands
The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to travel to company locations and wear the required PPE as needed.
Ability to participate in sequence engineering program (which includes working nights, weekends, and an on-call schedule).
Ability to travel throughout the company service territory and sites requiring support including steam and electric plants.
Ability to climb into steam structures and the ability to work and walk in all weather conditions.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needs arise.
