Insight Global SR Databricks Architect in New York, New York

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Databricks Architect to lead the design and implementation of modern data platforms on Azure. This role will play a critical part in large scale data modernization initiatives, building scalable, high performance analytics solutions using Databricks and medallion architecture. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, hands on architecture experience, and a proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams. This is a remote role with preference to sit in New York City, NY. Candidates can be local to NYC or will be required to travel to NYC occasionally as required.

Skills and Requirements

- 7+ years experience with Azure, including Azure Databricks and related data services.

- Proven experience delivering data modernization projects

- Demonstrated experience building and operationalizing medallion architecture using Databricks.

- Previous team lead or technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and leading solution design.

- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, distributed data processing, and cloud native architectures.

o Familiarity with enterprise data governance, compliance, and security requirements. - Recognition as a Databricks Champion.

- Databricks certifications (e.g., Data Engineer, Data Architect).

- Experience working in the financial services or financial industry.
