Worksite: One Madison Ave, New York, NY 10010. Job Description: Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices. Build out the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. Solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems, bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology. Build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe, operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, and managing the most secure, dockerized infrastructure running in the cloud. Decompose our monolithic Rails app into microservices. Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems. Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter. Write high quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of your customers. Telecommuting permitted. Job Requirements: Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or in a related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Special Requirements: Position requires experience, knowledge or coursework in each of the following skills: 1. Software Engineering fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms;2. Working with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB or Redshift;3. Designing fault tolerant distributed software systems;4. Performance and testing of software infrastructure;5. Building growth experiments or A/B tests;6. Implementing unit tests / integration tests and utilizing CI/CD tools for reliable production deployments; and7. Working with AWS cloud infrastructure, such as S3, CloudWatch, Simple Queue Service, and Simple Notification Service. Employment and background checks may be required.
