Software Engineer (Multiple Positions), DoorDash, Inc., New York, NY. Develop a 24x7, global infrastructure system that powers DoorDashs three-sided marketplace of consumers, merchants, and dashers. Work at the intersection of product and infrastructure to solve key business problems with elegant technical solutions. Operate our backend services and architecture that support all product functionality and will be challenged to consider the big picture. Collaborate cross-functionally, as well as evaluate and execute on trade-offs to maximize business impact for the company. Develop, release and run large-scale web applications. Develop and define the backend architecture and tech stack for a product area. Improve performance, reliability, scalability and security for our backend systems. Transition our codebase to a microservice-based architecture. Completely disrupt logistics by tackling bleeding-edge, technical problems. Telecommuting Permitted. (SWE-B-302-NY3) 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range: $188,000 - $282,000/yr. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, or related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering, program analysis or related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, or related field of study and five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelors experience in the field of software engineering, program analysis or related occupation. Qualifying experience must include two (2) years in at least five (5) the following skills, which may be gained concurrently: Programming languages such as Java, Python, C/C++; JavaScript; SQL, MySQL, or NoSQL; Distributed Systems; Git, SVN or similar version control tools; Databases such as DynamoDB, Pinot DB, MongoDB or similar; Postgres, RabbitMQ, Redis, HAProxy, Elasticsearch, or similar; and Docker, Kubernetes or similar. Qualifying experience must include one year (1) year in at least four (4) the following skills, which may be gained concurrently: REST APIs; AWS or Azure; Object Oriented Programming; Microservices or Service Oriented architecture; React or similar user interface tool; Agile or Scrum methodology; and Hadoop, Spark or similar.
