Job Summary:The Senior Software Engineer (Senior) plays a crucial role in designing and implementing highly advanced features and solutions that support the Tax practice and delivery of Tax services to clients. The Senior contributes as a lead developer and key member in an Agile team to design, develop, and implement innovative tax products and solutions to address complex and evolving business needs. This role requires effective collaboration with other team members, while also providing mentorship and guidance to junior developers and peers.Job Duties:Designs, develops, and tests software solutions using advanced web and cloud-based technologies and frameworksApplies modern software engineering principles across the entire software lifecycle, including architecture, design, development, unit testing, code reviews, DevOps, defect remediation, troubleshooting, and release management, with a focus on scalability and performanceReviews and analyzes complex business requirements to provide technical feasibility and estimates, collaborating closely with leads, business teams, clients, and other functional groups to deliver high-quality software productsMentors junior engineers to enhance code quality and performance, while adhering to software engineering standards and compliance and providing guidance on best practicesEscalates critical issues to management, and implements strategies for timely resolution, proactively identifying potential risks and mitigation plansFormulates advanced strategies, and develops proposals for software design and architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectivesOther duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:N/AQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Education:Bachelor's degree required; with a focus in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Finance, or Accounting with preferredExperience:Five (5) or more years of hands-on experience with building web-based apps using front-end and full stack skills utilizing C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, TypescriptReact, or similar), requiredFive (5) or more years of experience in software development supporting or troubleshooting applications and cloud products, requiredFive (5) or more years of experience with developing stored procedures and database schemas utilizing SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos or other NOSQL, preferredTwo (2) or more years of experience designing and automating CI/CD/DevOps Pipelines, preferredTwo (2) or more years of experience working with Microsoft Azure and Azure Portal, preferredExperience with scripting tools; PowerShell, Graph API, Azure CLI, preferredExperience with Monitoring Tools; App Monitoring, App Insights, PowerBI, preferredProficient in applying software engineering and object-oriented programming principles, preferredExperience with software design, algorithms, data structures, data modeling, and design patterns, preferredExperience writing clean code, participating in code reviews, and minimizing technical debt, preferredUnderstanding of Agile solution development, preferredExperience analyzing business requirements and process design, preferredExperience with Microsoft Dynamics Administration and Project Operations, preferredProficient in SharePoint development, including SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and front-end web development, preferredExperience with low-code platforms, such as Power Apps, preferredLicense/Certifications:Microsoft MTA / MCSD, Azure Fundamentals (Az-900), or Microsoft Azure Developer Associate, preferredOther Certifications in Microsoft, Azure MTA / MCSD, preferredSoftware:Experience with the following products, preferred:Microsoft Office SuiteMicrosoft Visual StudioMicrosoft Azure Dev Ops or GitHubMicrosoft SQL Server and/or Azure SQL DBMicrosoft Power BI and PowerAppsAzure functionsHTTP Debug ToolsOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilit
