Our Team:

The Bloomberg Data AI group brings innovative AI technologies into Bloomberg’s Data organization while supplying deep financial domain expertise to the development of AI-powered products. The Code Generation Data Team provides strategic data management solutions for AI/ML systems that perform code generation. We partner closely with cross functional team members to align AI innovation with Bloomberg’s strategic objectives, focusing on optimizing data workflows and elevating the quality, intelligence, and usability of the data that drives our products.

What's the Role?

As a Data Engineer on the team, you will take ownership of the underlying technical assets that power annotation projects. You’ll develop ETL pipelines that ensure data is delivered on time and high quality. You will design, build, and maintain dashboards that analyze annotation performance and data quality, enabling the team to track progress, identify issues, and make informed decisions. This role is approximately 60% building the data pipelines and dashboards, 25% annotation project design and build, and 15% stakeholder coordination.

We'll Trust You To:

  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines for training and evaluation datasets

  • Design and build annotation projects to manufacture data for model train/eval

  • Develop dashboards to monitor annotation accuracy, throughput, and drift

  • Optimize workflows for data acquisition, labeling, and quality control

  • Partner with the broader cross functional team on requirements and prioritization

You'll Need to Have:

  • 4+ years in data engineering (Python, SQL)

  • Experience building ETL/data pipelines at scale

  • Experience with data modeling and data quality systems

  • Experience working with ML/AI datasets or experimentation workflows

  • Experience leading cross-functional data or ML/AI projects

We'd Love to See:

  • Deep subject matter expertise within a chosen financial domain

  • Experience with developing data foundations for ML/AI systems

  • Experience in semantic structures or large scale data modeling

  • Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikSense, or PowerBI

Salary Range = 110000 - 190000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
