Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Director for a Global Financial Client located in the Hudson Yards area of Manhattan.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage scheduling: Leverage AI-powered technology to effectively schedule security officers, meeting client contract hours while minimizing unbilled overtime
Lead and Develop Security Teams: Hire, coach and manage security officers and supervisors while overseeing payroll, performance, and employee relations
Enhance Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high-quality service that protects people and property
Handle Security Incidents and Emergencies: Respond to escalated issues professionally, coordinating with clients and internal teams
Direct Compliance and Security Operational Excellence: Oversee training, safety, and site operational standards as well as managing inventory (uniforms, equipment, and other essential supplies)
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 4 years' experience in one of, or a combination of the following:
Military (Career/Military Police/Military Elite Forces)
Law Enforcement (Police Academy Graduate)
Correctional Facility (Correction Officer)
A bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited college or university in a security related field such as:
Criminal Justice,
Security Administration,
Homeland Security,
Fire Science.
Such degree will count as two (2) of the four (4) years required experience and a master's degree will count as three (3) of the four (4) years required experience.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
Previous contract Security, facilities management, military (honorable discharge), or law enforcement experience
Proven interpersonal and communication skills required
Previous leadership experience with campus security
Strong written and communication skills
Crisis management experience
Microsoft Office skills
Proven experience with management/evaluation/development/motivation of staff
Flexible Schedule available weekend as needed
An associate's or higher degree from an accredited college or university in a security related field such as: Criminal Justice, Security Administration, Homeland Security, or Fire Science. Such degree will count as two (2) of the five (5) years required experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
Proven experience with management/evaluation/development/motivation of staff.
Ability to supervise subordinates through the transmission of values, standards and culture with an understanding of their influence on others.
Possess effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and recognizes the need for communicating differently with different people.
Previous formal training in management, human relations, interpersonal communication skills, labor and criminal laws, and emergency response.
Demonstrated experience with analyzing information, staffing coordination, tracking budget expenses, scheduling, and dealing with complexity.
Law enforcement, military, and/or contract or proprietary security services, or facility management experience
American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), International Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification
Previous payroll, billing, or scheduling experience
Aptitude with security systems: CCTV, access control, and badge administration
Graduate of certified public safety academy (e.g., Law Enforcement, Firefighter/Paramedic, Corrections Officer)
