Required Education/Experience

• Master's Degree and 6 years' related experience or

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' related experience

Preferred Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science,

• Safety, Engineering, Physical Science, or a related field and 8 years' experience (including 3 years of relevant EH&S experience)

• Master's Degree in Environmental Science,

• Safety, Engineering,

• Physical Science, Business or a related field and 6 years (including 3 years of EH&S experience)

Relevant Work Experience

• Demonstrated ability to obtain results Required

• Must successfully complete training in the Corporate EH&S Procedures within two (2) years of assignment Required

• Must be highly motivated individual, demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence, and understand the vital importance of personal accountability Required

• Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks without compromising quality or timelines Required

• Must be able to develop concepts into successful safety and environmental programs Required

• Ability to effectively interact with customers, support staff, regulatory agencies, and various levels of management Required

• Must demonstrate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets and/or an ability to quickly become proficient with database packages including Microsoft Office (including Teams), EMIS, SHIMS, and Maximo Required

Physical Demands

• Ability to respond to system emergencies

• Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold

• Ability to climb ladders and stairs

• Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)

• Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies

• Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses

Additional Physical Demands

• The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Must be able and willing to travel within O&R and CECONY service territory, as needed.
