Job Summary:The Tax Senior, Digital Transformation & Innovation- Project Management (Senior) will support the BDO Tax Digital Transformation and Innovation team by assisting in the execution of technology development projects. The Senior will contribute to the success of projects by ensuring tasks are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of project management and familiarity with both waterfall and agile development methodologies.The Senior will collaborate with business stakeholders, DT&I product management teams, software developers, Fusion teams and DT&I deployment teams to assist in the creation and implementation of project plans that meet the needs of our clients and professionals.Job Duties:Project Management and CoordinationSupports the initiation, planning, execution and implementation of project plans for technology development projects within the Tax Digital Transformation and Innovation portfolio by:Establishing the purpose, expectations, and scope of the project to ensure it covers all requirementsIdentifying all stakeholders directly or indirectly affected by the projectDefining clear milestones and a timeline for the project to ensure a smooth flow of eventsForecasting budget estimations for running the projectImplementing the project plan and carrying out tasks necessary to achieve project objectivesEstablishing risks, issues, and interdependencies connected to the project to prepare and plan beforehandEnsuring the project outputs are delivered while maintaining alignment with the planEmploying an agile methodology to progressively enhance solution functionality in subsequent releasesCollaborates with the Project Manager and Deployment Lead to ensure project alignment with product objectives and company goalsUtilizes project management tools and software to track tasks, monitor progress and communicate status updates to stakeholdersFacilitates communication amongst project team members and stakeholders to ensure understanding of project objectives, timelines, and deliverablesIdentifies and manages project risk factors and contributes to mitigation strategiesEnsures project documentation is maintained and updated throughout the project lifecycleAttends post-project evaluation workshops to capture learnings and improve future project practices by documenting issues discussed and proposing improvement areasManages meetings by creating agendas with clear objectives/roles/time allocation, takes notes of any decisions and action itemsOther duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:N/AQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Education:Bachelor's Degree, required; focus in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology, preferredExperience:Three (3) or more years of experience with project management and software development lifecycle, requiredThree (3) years of experience serving as a project associate or similar role, with a focus on technology development projects, preferredExperience working in the tax or accounting professional services industry, preferredLicense/Certifications:Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified, preferredScrum Master or Agile Certified Practitioner, preferredSoftware:Proficient with project management tools (such as MS Project, Smartsheet), requiredOther Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsBasic knowledge of project management principlesBasic knowledge of software development lifecycleExcellent organizational skills, specifically the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on detailsProblem-solving and conflict resolution skillsAbility to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslySelf-motivated and dis
