Bloomberg is seeking a Team Leader to lead product management for the real-time news experience across its news product. This role is responsible for alerting, monitoring, and time-critical information delivery, with a focus on speed, relevance, and reliability at scale.
You will lead a team of experienced product managers and define both the near-term roadmap and long-term transformation of the product toward an agentic AI-driven experience, where systems proactively surface, contextualize, and act on information.
This role requires a strong understanding of financial markets, real-time information workflows, and unstructured data, and how users consume and act on news in time-sensitive environments.
You will work closely with engineering, data, UX, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions and drive alignment across the broader product ecosystem.
We will trust you to:
Lead and develop a team of senior product managers responsible for real-time news capabilities
Set product strategy and priorities for alerting, monitoring, and breaking news experiences
Own the end-to-end real-time news experience, including latency, accuracy, and relevance
Lead the product transformation toward an agentic AI-driven model, including defining vision, roadmap, and execution
Drive evolution from reactive consumption to proactive, system-driven information delivery
Ensure product decisions reflect how users monitor and react to market-moving news
Oversee development of alerting systems, including prioritization, deduplication, and personalization- Improve signal-to-noise across high-volume, real-time information streams
Define and scale monitoring experiences across markets, sectors, companies, and events
Lead development of AI-driven capabilities, including summarization, contextualization, and intelligent alerting
Partner with engineering and data teams to build and scale systems that process and extract signal from unstructured data (e.g., text, transcripts, documents)
Work across UX and product teams to align on shared capabilities and drive consistency across products
Establish and track KPIs related to performance, reliability, and user engagement
You will need to have:
10+ years of product management experience
Experience leading and developing teams of product managers
Strong understanding of financial markets and market-moving information flows
Experience working with unstructured data (e.g., text, news, documents) and related product use cases
Experience delivering real-time, low-latency products (e.g., alerts, notifications, monitoring systems)
Experience building AI/ML-powered product features
Demonstrated experience leading product transformation or large-scale platform evolution
Strong track record of working with engineering, data, and UX teams
Experience driving alignment across multiple product teams
Technical fluency in APIs, distributed systems, and data-driven products
We’d love to see:
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience in news, financial data, or trading-related products
Familiarity with NLP, LLM-based applications, or agentic systems
Experience with alerting systems, personalization, or signal detection
Experience working on high-reliability, time-sensitive products
Salary Range = 235000 - 350000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
