Jacobs Office Engineer (project site - Bronx, NY) in New York, New York

  • Assist with the construction documents, RFIs, change orders, correspondences, and supporting the office and field staff as needed

  • Coordinating with Office and Field Staff, Project Manager, and Contractor to ensure efficient and effective quality audits

  • Exercises sound judgment in the interpretation of standards, procedures, and criteria

  • Assist with scheduling distributing inspection reports, and tracking project deficiencies

  • Assist with distributing and filing safety inspection reports

  • Assist with processing of change and field orders

  • Assist with numerous administrative tasks such as scheduling pre-award meetings, project file auditing, supply requests, personnel files, and other ad-hoc tasks

  • Various ad-hoc tasks such as construction technical research and project document review

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred

  • Substantial years of professional experience working on NYSDOT projects as an Office Engineer

  • Proficient in basic computer skills utilizing Windows/Outlook/Word/Excel and scheduling applications
