The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.Position SummaryThe Medical Education Coordinator reports directly to the Medical Education Manager and will assist in managing, coordinating, and supporting the educational programs and related initiatives for Residents and Medical Students in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This position serves as a point of contact to students, prospective students, and faculty on matters related to course management and enrollment, program requirements, policies and procedures, scheduling and rotation issues and other administrative matters.Responsibilities * Medical students develops assembles and distributes curriculum information and associate materials to faculty and students rotating through the clerkship; monitors and organizes student progress through the rotation to ensure educational objectives are being met; initiate action where necessary to maintain academic standards of the clerkship; compile picture composite of students by rotation and distribute to each site; prepare teaching resident schedule for the medical student and in list preceptors for each rotation; coordinate switch students and faculty and adjusting and modifying individual schedules. Serves as liaison between students and faculty on a range of academic and administrative issues; develops and maintains databases including but not limited to new innovations in CourseWork to track students through program; compiles and analyzes statistical data; develops reports as requested; ensures medical student faculty and resident evaluations are being completed in a timely matter at the end of each block rotation; screens and responds to daily correspondence regarding clerkship program; plans and coordinates various events such as orientation receptions and student lectures. manage is logistics including location room setup A/V needs ordering food program planning, etc; coordinates and administers national board exams and objective structured Clinical Skills Exam at the end of each rotation block and assist in the scoring process; ensure evaluations and grades are submitted by the due date to the College of Physicians and Surgeons; advises students on curriculum testing an associated requirements; track attendance and completion of all required activities; organizes and post curriculum related materials to CourseWork site maintains and updates confidential files and records ensuring that ethical and legal guidelines are maintained; assist and support the Clerkship Director as needed. Residency: develop and maintain the residency program Grand Round schedule with assistance from Residency Program Director; arrange guest speaker travel accommodations and greet them on the morning of their presentation; obtain reimbursements for guest speakers including honorarium payments; create and distribute ultrasound rotation schedule for the residents; create and distribute postings regarding Friday morning lectures; assist medical education manager with interview season such as creating itineraries list of interviewees slash interviewers communicating with the security office and helping on the day of the interview; assist Medical Education Manager with Sloan Olympics, QUEST, Sloan Academic Assembly, Graduation and any other special events involving the residency program; special projects as requested; works closely with the Medical Education Manager to establish implement and maintain program policies procedu
