Job Description
As a key member of the administrative team of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS), the Manager of Student Enrollment Strategy manages a robust strategic marketing plan, as well as all aspects of executing marketing plans for the Graduate School’s Basic Science Research programs. This role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of high-impact recruitment communications while partnering directly with academic program leadership to develop and refine recruitment strategies for each program.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Five (5) or more years of marketing/communications experience with a strong emphasis on digital channels and enrollment management.
Responsibilities
Strategic Strategy Development: Leads the strategic development of a comprehensive marketing plan for biomedical sciences programs, partnering with leadership and program directors to strengthen recruitment for Master’s and Ph.D. programs.
Program-Specific Planning: Works closely with program leadership to develop to the strategic planning of the recruitment calendar and the development of specialized recruitment materials.
CRM Subject Matter Expertise: Acts as the subject matter expert on the GSBS CRM system. Responsible for uploading leads, tagging, creating segments, and managing automated email workflows.
Funnel Execution: Manages the progression of prospective students through the marketing funnel from lead and applicant to admitted student and matriculant. Works with the GSBS retention coordinator and Office of Enrollment Services to help applicants progress through the process.
Lead Generation & Management: Manages lead generation. Responsible for purchasing and engaging lists (e.g., GRE/MCAT) via email campaigns and coordinating new leads.
AI Tool Management: Populates and manages strategic AI tools to answer student questions on microsites and route requests to appropriate program managers.
Hands-on Creative Production: Uses Adobe InDesign to develop creative materials for all marketing purposes, including social media posts, digital screen displays, and program booklets.
Web & Digital Maintenance: Performs all website updates, ensuring program recruitment information, curriculum changes, and vendor microsites are current and functioning.
Multimedia Execution: Manages photography and video for GSBS, including writing creative briefs, planning shoots, and attending sessions to ensure the vision is realized.
Data & Metrics Reporting: Evaluates metrics to ensure outreach achieves maximum impact. Reports weekly on application counts and campaign progress during recruitment cycles.
Competitive Analysis: Conducts competitive analysis for programs to determine GSBS strengths and weaknesses in the marketplace and makes recommendations to leadership.
Brand Advocacy: Protects the visual identity of the GSBS by ensuring all materials use the correct logo, typography, and colors. Ensure alignment with the Mount Sinai system and school Marketing & Communications Department brand guidelines and priorities
Recruitment Representation: Represents the GSBS in relevant recruitment venues, such as information sessions and recruitment fairs as needed.

Compensation Statement
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $79720 - $119580 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
