Wolters Kluwer Manager, Enterprise Software Engineering in New York, New York

About the Role:

As a Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team in software engineering, ensuring the development of robust and scalable enterprise-level applications. This role involves accountability for the team's performance and delivering software solutions that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

· Lead the performance, development, and daily operations of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne technical and functional teams, including CNC administrators, JDE developers, and module analysts.

· Oversee the design, configuration, customization, and enhancement of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications, ensuring scalable solutions across Finance, Distribution, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain modules.

· Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, JDE CNC best practices, environment strategies, security models, and Oracle standards, including ESU/ASU lifecycle management and orchestrator governance.

· Conduct regular assessments of JDE environments, integrations, and custom objects, reviewing code quality (UBE, BSFN, Orchestrations), performance tuning, and adherence to JDE development methodologies.

· Lead root-cause analysis for complex ERP issues, including CNC performance, batch job failures, interoperability challenges, and functional process breakdowns, delivering long-term, sustainable solutions.

· Foster strong collaboration with Finance, Operations, Service, and IT infrastructure teams to ensure JDE solutions meet cross-functional business needs and support enterprise-wide process optimization.

· Implement and maintain robust quality control and change management processes for JDE ESUs, package builds, environment promotions, and orchestrator deployments.

· Develop and manage project plans for JDE upgrades, integrations, migrations, and enhancement initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with corporate standards.

· Mentor, coach, and develop JDE technical and functional team members, building expertise in CNC, Orchestrator, UDOs, and module-specific capabilities.

· Provide regular reporting on ERP stability, performance metrics, enhancement progress, and team productivity to senior leadership.

Skills

· JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Leadership: Proven experience managing JDE technical/functional teams, including CNC, development, and module analysts.

· JDE Application & Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of core JDE modules (Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, Transportation, etc.), Orchestrator, UDOs, Café One, AIS, and custom object lifecycle.

· CNC & System Architecture: Strong knowledge of JDE CNC administration, environment management, security roles, performance tuning, ESU deployment, and system integrations.

· Software & ERP Solution Design: Ability to design scalable JDE solutions, integrate third-party applications, and oversee custom development using JDE toolsets (UBEs, BSFNs, Tables, BI Publisher).

· Performance & Issue Resolution: Advanced skills in diagnosing complex JDE application, CNC, and business process issues; managing batch performance; and optimizing end-to-end workflows.

· Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis: Advanced ability to troubleshoot complex ERP functional and technical issues, including JDE environment or application challenges.

· Enterprise Architecture Alignment: Understanding of how JDE fits within a broader enterprise landscape, including data governance, APIs/web services, cloud components, and middleware.

· Quality Control & Change Management: Experienced with JDE change control, object management, package builds, test cycle management, and ERP release governance.

· Team Mentorship: Ability to develop JDE talent, coach engineers and analysts, and build a collaborative, high-performing ERP team.

· Executive-Level Reporting: Strong capability to communicate project updates, risks, ERP health metrics, and long-term roadmap recommendations to senior leadership.

Compensation:

$128,900.00 - $226,050.00 USD

This role is eligible for Bonus.

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
