Job Description: Help build new products and participate in maintaining and devising new features for existing products. Develop application, data and deployment routines in a rapidly changing environment. Design the architecture and build the solution. Interact with internal stakeholders including product managers and scientists. Work with other engineers and technical members on implementation, integration and other development areas. Translate business requirements into technical solutions. Create scalable, consumable, performant web applications geared towards an SOA environment. Suggest and identify appropriate tools/technologies to use for solution implementation. Telecommuting permitted. Job Requirements: Masters or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or in related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Special Requirements: Position requires experience, knowledge or coursework in each of the following skills: 1. Java, Python, Clojure and Object-oriented programming paradigm;2. Designing, developing, improving, troubleshooting and maintaining web-based applications;3. Developing software applications and associated artifacts with unit tests, installation programs and test automation code;4. Architecting and designing scalable, reliable, and secure Java and Python based web applications;5. Identifying and choosing appropriate tools/technologies for solution implementation; 6. Modern data architecture, data science engineering, data modeling and data quality using state-of-art cloud computing technologies; 7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and timeline; and 8. Providing technical leadership and guidance throughout the development process and mentoring Java/Python developers in designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions.
