ConEdison Junior Network Systems & Platform Engineer in New York, New York
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience or
Associate's Degree with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience or
High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Information Technology or Engineering and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience.
Associate's Degree preferably in IT and a minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience.
Relevant Work Experience
Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) or network automation frameworks, required.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and willingness to learn in a technical environment, required.
Foundational understanding of IP networking concepts, including routing, switching, VLANs, and network protocols, preferred.
Basic knowledge of network systems, servers, virtualization, and monitoring platforms, preferred.
Demonstrated interest in automation, AI assisted development, and modern network engineering practices, preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated written communication skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.
Licenses and Certifications
- Driver's License Required
Physical Demands
Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday
Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
Ability to read small print and symbols

The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
