ConEdison Engineering Supervisor, Engineering & Planning - Distribution Engineering Equipment in New York, New York
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
Relevant Work Experience
Self-starter with excellent organizational, analytical, decision-making, and administrative skills with a strong attention to detail. Required
Must be flexible, able to handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines. Strong project management skills are required. Required
Must have strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to diplomatically interact with internal and external customers, support staffs and various levels of management. Required
Must have knowledge of relevant corporate environmental and safety procedures. Required
Must be effective at presenting technical information and representing Distribution Engineering to other departments, non-technical groups and executives. Required
Must have strong knowledge of the appropriate Engineering and Operating Procedures and Engineering Specifications. Required
Must be able to understand and review engineering sketches, drawings, one-line and riser diagrams. Required
Must be able to provide guidance in the creation of these drawings and schematics. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency with Computer applications (MS Office, CAD Applications, etc.). Required
1-2 years of supervisory experience is preferred Preferred
Able to travel to vendor sites and attend conferences Preferred
Able to respond to field request and emergencies during off hours Preferred

Additional Physical Demands
Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
