ConEdison Distributed Generation Strategy Section Manager in New York, New York

Required Education/Experience

  • Master's Degree and 6 years full-time work experience, including 3 years of relevant work experience in clean energy, distributed generation, or other relevant industry. or

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years full-time work experience, including 3 years of relevant work experience in clean energy, distributed generation, or other relevant industry.

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Master's Degree -MBA

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Sustainability, Energy related discipline, Economics.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize data into business insights and effectively communicate the information in oral and written deliverables. Required

  • Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and comfortable leading in a dynamic environment. Required

  • Possesses deep curiosity and strive to understand the essence of areas of focus and priority. Required

  • Demonstrated success leading business or corporate strategy development. Required

  • Experience with financial analysis. Required

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing information, both technical and financial, and making recommendations based on that information. Required

  • Demonstrated work experience leading a fast-paced, project-oriented team. Required

  • Demonstrated experience leading creative solutions to strategic challenges. Required

  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive results by collaborating with stakeholders to build consensus. Required

  • Strong communications, presentation, writing and analytical skills. Required

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to see the big picture and at the same time pay close attention to details. Required

  • Demonstrated leadership of diverse, cross-functional teams to drive business results. Preferred

  • Experience and or knowledge of New York State regulatory environment and key stakeholders. Preferred

  • Familiarity with utility financials. Preferred

  • Working knowledge of regulatory processes such as preparation of rate proceedings, responding to commission orders and responses to interrogatories. Preferred

  • Experience developing projects related to distributed energy resources or infrastructure serving customers' distributed energy needs. Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • Driver's License Required

Additional Physical Demands

  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
