Creative Circle Director of User Experience (UX) Hospitality experience in NEW YORK, New York
Our client is seeking a Director of User Experience (UX) to lead a full redesign of their digital experience, from discovery through purchase. This role focuses on reimagining high-consideration, high-ticket purchase journeys, where users conduct significant research before converting. The Director of UX will set the experience vision, redesign core user flows, and lead a UX team to deliver a modern, mobile-first experience that balances brand storytelling with conversion.Responsibilities * Define the end-to-end UX vision for a high-consideration digital purchase journey. * Rethink and redesign core user flows, navigation, information architecture, and conversion pathways. * Lead UX design from discovery through wireframes, prototypes, and validated solutions. * Use qualitative and quantitative insights to identify friction and prioritize experience improvements. * Lead and mentor a UX team, setting standards for quality, process, and collaboration. * Scope UX workstreams, define phases, and recommend team structure and roles. * Partner with business, technical, and external teams to translate UX into build-ready direction. * Communicate UX strategy and design decisions clearly to senior stakeholders.Requirements * 10+ years of UX, product, or experience design experience, including 3-5+ years in a leadership role. * Proven experience leading end-to-end redesigns for complex digital experiences. * Strong background in high-consideration or large-ticket purchase experiences (hospitality/travel preferred; adjacent industries acceptable). * Deep expertise in user flows, information architecture, and multi-step conversion funnels. * Demonstrated ability to scope projects and define team size, roles, and phased delivery. * Strong stakeholder communication and executive presentation skills. * Experience working with modern, headless CMS and collaborating closely with engineering teams is a plus.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.BenefitsCreative Circle's Freelance Employee benefits package includes eligibility for Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) medical plan, dental/vision/term life package, discount prescription program, critical illness, accident, tele-behavioral health, and 401(k) plan.
