Oversee the entire department containing individuals with specialist quantity surveying education and training.Take responsibility for end-to-end service delivery and act as key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met though the delivery of a value-added service.Staff management - to include recruitment interviews, resource management and conducting appraisals.Knowledge management - Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the Turton Bond internal database.Financial management - Utilizing company financial systems in order to keep track of the ongoing margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts for each commission.Process improvement - Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.Identify opportunities within the local marketplace and pursue those opportunities using a variety of business development techniques.Leverage relationships with existing clients to broaden our service offering into the construction Cost Management team.Identify client needs and prepare marketing materials (presentations, proposals, and other materials) that demonstrate how Turton Bond can add value to client projects.Identify required resources, including appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully deliver the commission.Director - Cost Management is the executive authority in the Cost Management Department. Such Department is responsible for contributing to the strategic running of the Company as well as establishing a structure within the Cost Management department to ensure that all deliverables are performed in a uniform and best in class manner.Daily supervision of the entire US Team which currently has 40+ subordinate employees including Senior Cost Managers and Cost Managers who perform tasks across the portfolio of projects.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, plus 5 years progressive post graduate experience.
