POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Director, Commercial Operations & Global Retail Execution – MAC & Bobbi Brown is responsible for leading the operational execution of the global retail strategy across both brands. In close partnership with the Executive Director, Global Retail, this role ensures that defined commercial frameworks—including distribution strategy, assortment models, promotional guardrails, and retail standards—are effectively implemented and translated into measurable field performance outcomes.
With a focus on disciplined performance measurement, toolkit refinement, and execution consistency, this role supports regions in adopting global retail frameworks while fostering transparency, collaboration, and shared accountability. The Director acts as a central commercial integrator—partnering across Marketing, Store Design, Visual Merchandising, Education, Finance, and Regional Retail teams—to ensure retail initiatives are aligned, executable, and commercially impactful.
This role plays a critical role in operationalizing the global commercial retail strategy and stewarding the performance and partnership culture required to deliver results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
DTC/Wholesale Distribution Strategy Execution
Lead operational implementation of global distribution strategy across Free Standing Stores (FSS), Department Stores (DS), and SMC
Oversee operational components and team execution supporting retail and commercial models defined by the Executive Director
Partner with regions to ensure distribution guardrails are clearly understood and effectively applied
Conduct review and analysis of global retail footprint and channel execution to inform ongoing refinement
Retail Playbooks, VM Standards & Execution Excellence
Oversee refinement and implementation of retail playbooks and execution toolkits
Ensure global standards are clearly communicated and practically applicable
Maintain alignment between commercial priorities and VM choreography, in-store display principles, and engagement tools
Support consistent in-store execution aligned to global guidelines
Commercial Brand Strategy Implementation
Lead operational execution of global assortment models, ensuring alignment with VM choreography and in-store display principles to optimize commercial outcomes
Partner with Manager, Commercial Retail Development to ensure assortment models are executable and aligned with retail formats
Drive structured implementation of promotional guardrails across eventing, gifting, GWP, and activation frameworks
Refine global toolkits and playbooks governing eventing, gifting, activations, and promotional cadence
Monitor adoption and performance impact of these structured programs
Partner with regions to share best practices and continuous improvement insights
Retail Model Performance & KPI Stewardship
Steward the global retail KPI framework across MAC & Bobbi Brown in partnership with the Executive Director and Commercial leadership
Institutionalize disciplined performance measurement standards and reporting cadence
Develop and maintain retail performance dashboards and visibility tools
Support adoption of consistent commercial metrics across regions
Surface structured performance insights and trends to Commercial leadership to enable informed decision-making
Support alignment of retail investment proposals with standardized retail models and productivity measurements
Integrate performance insights into ongoing model refinement discussions
Provide structured operational input to the Executive Director for resource prioritization conversations and recommendations
Retailer & Partner Engagement
Partner with regional retail teams to collaborate on the effective implementation of global frameworks
Share global best practices and learnings across markets
Foster collaborative dialogue to identify execution challenges and improvement opportunities
Elevate structural risks or misalignment to the Executive Director for partnership and resolution
Ensure retailer presentations and partner visits are executed to achieve commercial strategic objectives
Partner cross-functionally to align messaging, priorities, and commercial positioning
Support the Executive Director in preparation for high-profile retail discussions

QUALIFICATIONS:
10–12+ years of progressive experience in Retail, Commercial, Omni-Channel, or Business Operations
Experience in retail, commercial operations, or multi-channel execution environments
Strong understanding of DTC and cross-channel retail models
Experience implementing structured performance measurement frameworks
Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into disciplined execution
Proven cross-functional leadership and collaborative influence skills
Strong commercial and financial acumen
EDUCATION:
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related field
MBA preferred

Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,550.00 to $208,200.00 . Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program as well as participation in the share incentive plan. In addition,
