Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team in New York, NY. This is a contract position with opportunities for growth and development within the organization. The role involves handling data entry tasks, order processing, and inventory tracking, with the potential to expand into buyer-facing responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities:
• Enter high volumes of purchase orders and order numbers into Excel and internal systems with precision.
• Monitor and accurately track inventory levels to ensure proper documentation.
• Process warehouse orders and verify the completeness of all associated records.
• Provide customer service support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to improve data entry workflows and maintain system accuracy.
• Ensure consistent communication with buyers and stakeholders as responsibilities evolve.
• Assist in maintaining organized records and reports for operational efficiency.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance Excel and system-related skills.
• Adapt to new responsibilities as the role transitions into buyer-facing tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Familiarity with internal data systems and tools used for inventory and order tracking.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of data accurately.
• Excellent written communication skills for clear interaction with buyers and team members.
• Ability to work onsite, Monday through Friday, with a structured schedule.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to evolving responsibilities.
