Position Summary:
The Construction Project Manager serves as an analyst, advisor, and program team leader for the management of major client full scope construction projects or programs. In this role, you will manage technical operations involving multiple projects and personnel at diverse locations, with annual revenue managed being between 20 to 100 million dollars.
Essential Functions:
Project Oversight Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, design, construction, commissioning, and occupancy.
Technical Coordination Direct and coordinate multiple projects and personnel across various locations, ensuring technical and operational alignment.
Scope and Cost Estimation Collaborate with clients to define project scope and develop government cost estimates using designated software tools.
Proposal and Change Order Review Analyze contractor cost proposals and change orders for consistency with project scope and budget.
Schedule Management Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting timelines as needed to meet deliverables.
Contract Negotiation and Procurement Work with government contracting personnel to negotiate and secure services from vendors and engineering firms.
Quality Assurance and Inspection Conduct on-site inspections and quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with design and construction standards.
Cost Analysis Support Provide financial analysis and review of construction-related cost estimates.
On-Site Construction Management Serve as the primary on-site representative, overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring project integrity.
Travel Requirements Travel to project sites for inspections, progress reviews, and stakeholder meetings. Travel may include overnight stays and varied geographic locations.
Professional Engagement Attend industry conferences, meetings, and seminars at the national, regional, and local levels.
Documentation and Reporting Assist in the preparation and review of project documentation, reports, and program management materials.
Qualifications
Your Education & Experience:
GSA & Federal experience is strongly preferred.
BS in Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and/or 5+ years of experience in design and management of construction projects.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated capability of dealing with all levels of management personnel, task/project managers and client representatives.
Possesses familiarity with the integration of engineering/technical aspects, as well as procurement and construction activities.
PMP, PgMP, or Other Construction Certification is desired.
