ConEdison Clean Energy Senior Specialist Engineering in New York, New York
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Industrial, Sustainability, or related) and five years of experience in engineering or energy efficiency focused.
Relevant Work Experience
Familiarity with NYS Technical Resource Manual (TRM) and energy codes (ASHRAE, IECC) is Required.
Proficiency in energy modeling, bin analysis, and complex calculations, is Preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of building envelope and building systems (HVAC (chillers, boilers, heat pumps, AHUs), motors/VFDs, and Building Management Systems (BMS) is Required.
Experience with technical reviews and energy analyses of projects, is Required.
Experience with project management, including coordinating scope, schedule, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders, is Required.
Experience with complex energy modeling simulation software, such as eQUEST, DOE 2 (DOE 2.1E and DOE 2.2), Trane TRACE 3D Plus, OpenStudio, TREAT, NEO, IES VE, and Carrier HAP, is Preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities
Licenses and Certifications
Driver's License Required
Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred
Other: Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification Preferred
Additional Physical Demands
The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
