Your Opportunity

Stantec’s New York City office is seeking candidates who are interested in learning about bridge inspection and would like to be considered for our 18-month training program sponsored by the New State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). This training program will provide the qualified candidate an opportunity to become a bridge inspector. The position involves assisting in performing bridge inspection in Queens County.

Our team has a passion for the work that they do, and we’re looking for candidates with a similar passion. The successful candidates will join a growing team of transportation professionals and contribute to the inspection component of bridge projects in New York City.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • The work will include field inspection of various bridges in Queens County

  • You will work with a qualified Inspection Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader to perform bridge condition evaluation and documentation

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Available for flexible hours including nights and weekends

  • Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one is preferred

  • Preferred: Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation and Microsoft Office

Education and Experience

Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Technology or a minimum of 18 months of verifiable bridge-related experience

• Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP)-$62,600.00 - $84,500.00 Annually

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
