Visiting Nurse Service of New York Awards and Events Planning Specialist in NEW YORK, New York
Overview Plans and leads VNS Health internal events, including award celebrations, management meetings, and other on-site and off-site meetings in connection with celebratory days/weeks/months. Works under general direction of VP, Enterprise Communications and in collaboration with all lines of business, departments and team members to ensure internal events achieve quality standards and are executed within budget parameters. Oversees the processes and administration of all internal recognition awards other than Above and Beyond the Call of Duty (ABCD) and Initiative Awards, throughout the calendar year. Sends invitations in a timely manner, monitors RSVPs accordingly and follow-up. * Facilitates development of run of show and scripts for the events. * Manages the 'day of' event activities; set up, coordination with vendors, check-in, etc. * Tracks and measures success of events according to metrics to be determined. * Manages expenses, including monitoring payment and processing of invoices. * Helps facilitate nomination processes for internal awards to be executed in accordance with rules and in a timely manner. * Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: * Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications or equivalent work experience requiredWork Experience: * Minimum four years of experience in related field, previous experience managing events required * Excellent communications, interpersonal, decision-making, organization, planning and project management skills required * Demonstrated ability to multi-task and possess a strong sense of attention to detail required * A Self-Starter: proactively anticipates needs and facilitates next steps. required * Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required * Minimum four years of experience in related field, previous experience managing events required * Excellent communications, interpersonal, decision-making, organization, planning and project management skills required * Demonstrated ability to multi-task and possess a strong sense of attenti
