AVP, Assistant Controller (2026-39)
Overview
The AVP, Assistant Controller is a senior leader within the accounting function, responsible for overseeing general accounting operations and ensuring the timely, accurate execution of financial close, reporting, and audit processes. This role leads General Ledger activities, maintains strong internal controls, and ensures compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements. This position partners cross-functionally with FP&A, Financial Technology, and other key stakeholders to enhance financial systems, improve data integrity, and drive transparency across the organization. The role also supports financial planning and analysis activities, leads process and system improvements, manages the annual audit process, and develops high-performing teams to support operational excellence.

Compensation
Compensation is based upon work location:
Charlotte, NC; Miami, FL; San Antonio, TX: $125,000 – $133,000
Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Fresno, CA; Buffalo, NY: $133,000 – $140,000
Houston, TX; Minneapolis, MN; Johnston, RI: $135,000 – $143,000
Chicago, IL; Philadelphia, PA; Voorhees, NJ: $141,000 – $149,000
Los Angeles, CA; Boston, MA: $147,000 – $155,000
New York, NY; San Francisco, CA: $157,000 – $166,000
This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based incentive targeting 20% of base pay. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline; MBA, CPA, or advanced degree strongly preferred
Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role
Advanced knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage high-performing teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
