Insight Global AV Systems Engineer in New York, New York

Job Description

NBC Universal is looking to bring on an experienced AV Systems Engineer to join our AV Systems Engineering Team based onsite 5 days per week at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. This is a true engineering role (non-operational) focused on design, advanced configuration, standardization, and lifecycle support of enterprise AV and collaboration environments. You will be partnering closely with internal stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable meeting and collaboration experiences. Key responsibilities include:

• Engineer, configure, and support integrated AV and video collaboration systems across enterprise conference rooms and collaboration spaces.

• Own advanced system configuration and troubleshooting across a multi-vendor ecosystem including Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco, Crestron, Logitech, and Q-SYS.

• Provide engineering-level support for complex incidents and recurring issues, including root cause analysis and preventative improvements.

• Develop and maintain AV engineering standards: room baselines, configuration templates, validation checklists, and installation guidelines to drive consistency and scalability.

• Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, network, facilities, vendors/integrators) to ensure systems are designed and implemented to meet performance, reliability, and user experience expectations.

• Support the full AV lifecycle: requirements gathering, solution design support, configuration, commissioning, documentation, and continuous improvement.

• Evaluate and recommend enhancements to AV/UC platforms, staying current on collaboration and AV industry trends and best practices.

Skills and Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in an AV Engineering role (systems engineering, design engineering, or advanced AV/UC engineering).

• Strong hands-on engineering experience supporting:

• Microsoft Teams (including collaboration/room environments)

• Cisco collaboration/video systems

• Crestron control ecosystems

• Logitech room solutions

• Q-SYS / QSC (Q-SYS) audio/video processing & control

• Demonstrated experience supporting advanced configuration systems (enterprise room standards, control/automation, DSP configurations, integration workflows).

• Deep practical experience with Crestron and Q-SYS (required). • Crestron Programming experience (SIMPL, SIMPL#, VTPro, or equivalent).

• AVIXA certifications (CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D)
