Description
Robert Half is partnering with a well‑established law firm in New York on a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney. The firm is looking to bring on an attorney initially on a temporary basis, with a strong intent to convert to permanent employment.
This opportunity is ideal for attorneys seeking hands-on litigation experience with a clear path to a long-term role.
Pay: $50-70/hour (depending on experience)
Location: New York, NY (Mostly On‑Site – 4 Days/Week)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Responsibilities
Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal correspondence
Legal research and analysis
Discovery and document review
Deposition preparation and participation
Court appearances, depending on experience level
Supporting matters through all phases of litigation
Requirements
Qualifications
Active New York bar admission (required)
Prior experience with commercial litigation preferred
Exposure to real estate, land use, or zoning matters is a plus
Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
