About the Role
THE POSITION
We are seeking a dynamic Associate Relationship Manager to join our US Wealth Management Team within the Client Platform. The Associate Relationship Manager will be based out of our Boston or New York office and will partner with Relationship Managers and Business Development Managers to deliver exceptional client servicing and relationship management across the wealth channel in the US.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Associate Relationship Manager supports the Relationship Manager as the primary internal and external point of contact. This role focuses on meeting our clients’ servicing needs while deepening relationships through proactive, multi‑touch engagement. The ideal candidate will will possess a deep understanding of the investment strategies in which their clients have allocations and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the client marketplace, including regulatory, accounting, tax, and asset allocation considerations. The Associate Relationship Manager will work closely with subject matter experts firmwide to uncover and onboard new client accounts, proactively contribute to defense work to retain "at risk" mandates, serve in a broader supporting role as appropriate (eg: oversee analyst activity, assist in internal initiatives, etc.), facilitate client meetings (eg: portfolio reviews, due diligence meetings, etc.) and act as a proxy to Relationship Manager in client relationships as and when required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
The following skills are required for the role:
Acumen and passion – The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience within the investment industry and possess a deep understanding of the US wealth investment landscape. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for building and nurturing client relationships and delivering exceptional service to institutional and wealth investors.
Superior collaboration – This role requires a great deal of teamwork and collaboration across Wellington. The successful candidate will enjoy being an individual contributor within a highly collaborative team and embrace the benefits of overlapping lines of idea generation. At Wellington Management, our approach to compensation is designed to help us attract, inspire and retain the best talent in our industry. We strive to pay employees fairly and competitively across all levels and roles. Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:
USD 90,000 - 180,000
This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
