We are looking for an Associate Product Manager who will help us reinvent how our colleagues fulfill their technology needs while modernizing the support experience. This highly visible role will be joining a team chartered with leading the strategy and planning across our network of services. Responsibilities
Will support the definition of the servicing strategy to deliver technology support for all American Express colleagues worldwide. Communicate strategic vision, execution plans, and status with key collaborators and stakeholders.
Meet regularly with colleagues and service delivery teams to deeply understand user needs and preferences and obtain feedback that will ultimately drive the prioritization and roadmap of key initiatives.
Assists in formulating the research and business case for new products or features. Supports in the documentation user journeys, process flows, UX design artifacts and other collaterals that support product enhancements.
Supports the creation and maintenance of the product backlog, prioritizing features and establishing timelines for product releases.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Architecture and other adjacent stakeholders to gather and document product requirements and to ensure timely delivery of product features, following agile development methodologies
Assists in the identification of technical or user experience gaps, and collaborates with broader teams to facilitate resolution, address risks, opportunities and changes to continuously upgrade product performance.
Understand competitive and internal positioning for their product or product line through internal and external market research.
Use analytical abilities and strategic perspective to identify industry trends & recommend solutions that will help improve the user experience, colleague sentiment and service quality.
Will participate in all phases of the development process partnering with engineering, architecture and other groups to deliver on the product roadmap.
Will have a forward looking “growth mindset” with a focus on technology trends and emerging customer service industry best practices (examples: agentic AI, chatbots, automation and preemptive healing).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, software engineering or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a Product Manager with proven track record in delivering results at pace alongside
defining impactful product visions and strategies
Experience in delivering within Agile methodologies
Proven track record managing large, complex features or products with multiple partners
Strategic thinker with a strong customer orientation and passion for understanding and solving customers'
needs. Proven experience translating customer insights into tangible deliverables.
A proven self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Will create and deliver presentations that have impact to
influence colleagues and leaders across the organization.
Proven experience in data analysis and analytical decision-making. Working experience with reporting/analytical applications such as Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
