Jacobs Assistant Superintendent - Education Facilities in New York, New York
We’re looking for a collaborative Assistant Superintendent for our project team in Manhattan, NY who thrives when people are in sync and construction projects are running like they should.
In this role you’ll work on projects that will enhance the lives of K-12 students! You’ll take the lead on developing and communicating the project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against that work plan, and be able to perform a detailed comparison of the design drawings against each other to ensure coordination between each of the various project trades. You'll manage daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site, and ensure the right materials, equipment and people are there to get the job done. Your ability to coordinate onsite work schedules with the client’s staff and manage multiple projects at a time will be critical to your success. Most importantly, you’ll take action to ensure the safety, health and well-being of your team.

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction related field from an accredited college or university
2 years being involved in the management of all phases of construction work on multiple projects
Experience managing or monitoring 2+ projects of substantial value
Experience interpreting contract documents such as specifications, drawings and shop drawings
Experience in new and renovation type construction projects
Valid Driver’s license
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
Prior experience with K-12 building construction and renovation projects
Experience with the JOC’s contracts is preferred
