The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at CUMC in NEW YORK, New York

This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of Assistant Professor is an exciting one. Columbia University Irving Medical Center, one of the nation's foremost academic health science centers is working together with one of the nation's premier health systems, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. This position will support Motility (50%), Short Bowel Syndrome (25%) and General Gastroenterology (25%). Responsibilities are as follows: * Provide Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital outpatient sessions and inpatient service in rotation (up to 5 weeks per year) * Supervision and teaching of medical students, residents, and clinical fellows. * Participation in weekly clinical and research conferences as schedule permits. * Must have a MD or DO degree and an active NYS Medical License. * Must hold active board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology. * Possess consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciplines. * The ability to create a high-energy results-oriented work environment that encourages colleagues and staff to value each other's contributions; and * The ability to share and celebrate success with colleagues and staff. * Must have a MD or DO degree and an active NYS Medical License. * Must hold active board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology. * Possess consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciplines. * The ability to create a high-energy results-oriented work environment that encourages colleagues and staff to value each other's contributions; and * The ability to share and celebrate success with colleagues and staff.Columbia University is an Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / VeteranPay Transparency DisclosureThe salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
