Health Advocates Network Administrative Assistant - Admin in New York, New York
Health Advocates Network is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to work at a facility in *New York, NY. * These are registry positions with our company.
*Pay Rate: * $24 / hour
*W2
Shift details:
- M-F 37.5 hrs per week, 9am-5pm
- Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
3 + years of experience in administrative duties
The candidate must have a minimum of:
a. Proof of eligibility to work in New York State.
b. 3 years of experience in a position performing the following duties: Managing incoming mail to ensure timely processing of
correspondence; Reading documents to determine the proper processing; Managing outgoing daily correspondence to
ensure timely processing; Acting as liaison with outside entities including sending correspondence to the outside entities
and following up on overdue responses; Resolving workflow issues and errors that occur with internal processing; or
corresponding with consumers or large companies to request information.
- Job Description and Required Services:
• Manage all incoming mail to ensure timely processing of correspondence. This includes
reviewing complaint and appeal documents to determine proper handling for workflow
processing and tracking incoming certified, overnight and priority mail;
• Reads documents entered into the various workflow management systems, determines and
provides coding and forwards for further processing;
• Manage outgoing daily correspondence to ensure timely notification regarding complaint
outcomes;
• Act as liaison with regulated entities. This includes updating files where appropriate, sending
correspondence and following up on overdue responses;
• Resolve workflow issues and errors;
• Corresponds with consumers or health care providers requesting additional information to
process new and existing files; and
• Other clerical duties as needed.
DFS will provide on the job training to temporary staff regarding the internal process and the
workflow systems used for the position.
In addition, the candidate must possess and/or have the ability to:
o Work individually and as part of a team.
o Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
o Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively in a fastpaced environment.
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including working experience with Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
o Reliability, and time and attendance are critical.

*Telecommuting will not be allowed for this position
*DFS does not provide parking, but the office is accessible by public transit.
