Construction Project Engineer | New Windsor, NY
Full-time | Contract (anticipated to be 12 months)
Targeted pay rate: $37-50/hr depending upon qualification
Kelly Engineering is seeking a skilled Construction Project Engineer to join our client’s team at Stewart International Airport, supporting the Project Manager and Construction Manager in overseeing all aspects of an assigned construction project.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent in all tasks necessary.
Coordinate all prime contractors, Owner’s vendors/installers, and field consultants.
Monitor work schedules and assignments
Communicate and enforce safety procedures and site rules
Input, coordinate & track submittals, RFI’s, & Design Documents into Project Management Program
Duties/Responsibilities
Orderliness on site and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations
Ensure quality standards are met.
Liaison with inspection authorities
Support Superintendent with all project reports.
Provide field observations for input and update to project schedules and ensure adherence to same.
Understand the client’s goals & objectives and key risks on a project that must be monitored.
Execute all projects in compliance with procedures.
What You’ll Need:
3+ years field experience in the commercial construction industry
Blueprint reading – ability to interpret and build accordingly
Scheduling (Gantt Charts, Smartsheet, Microsoft Projects, P6)
Taking and uploading digital photographs
Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills
Experienced in scheduling and reading Gantt Charts
Proficiency with the following software: MS Office, Procure, Bluebeam, SmartSheet
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
