Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician, where you will be responsible for performing all necessary maintenance and repairs in the machining department. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, PLC, and pneumatic systems on all equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines by following diagrams, sketches, and manuals.
Troubleshoot malfunctions and locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices and using precision measuring instruments.
Dismantle devices to remove defective parts using hoists, hand, and power tools.
Assist in the installation of new machinery, fixtures, and necessary hookups.
Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, wiring, and electronic components.
Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, placing and expediting orders as needed.
Comply with safety procedures, maintain a clean working environment, and report or repair hazardous conditions.
Train or assist with training new and existing employees.
Perform other duties, including assignments to different classification jobs as directed by management.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in troubleshooting in a mechanical or electrical field or extensive training through on-the-job training or coursework.
High School diploma.
Working knowledge of temperature controllers/PLCs and computer-based logic.
Familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens, and Mitsubishi operation systems.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, process sheets, blueprints, and schematics.
Proficient verbal communication skills to provide meaningful feedback.
Basic math skills with the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2 years of prior maintenance experience.
Experience with electrical, troubleshooting, and CNC machining.
Skill in reading blueprints.

Work in a production environment with great lighting and ventilation. Be prepared to lift and move equipment regularly, and maintain physical activity throughout your shift.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Ulm, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
