Job Duties
The New Ulm Public Utilities Commission is currently seeking a full-time Gas Service Technician III within the Gas Department. The successful applicant will assist with the construction, operation, and maintenance of the natural gas distribution system. Duties include assisting with gas main and service installation and maintenance; repairing, testing, and installing gas meters and regulators; locating gas mains and leaks; performing utility locating; assisting with valve maintenance and regulating stations; and operating departmental vehicles, tools, and construction equipment.

Minimum Education Required
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
Minimum Experience Required
The successful candidate must obtain a valid MN Class A CDL within six (6) months of hire and obtain and maintain all required Operator Qualifications (OQs) within one (1) year. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in underground construction, equipment operation, plumbing/pipefitting, welding, or related fields.
