Abbott Demand Planning (Assistant) Manager in New Taipei City, China

Main Responsibilities: *

  • Responsible for strategic demand planning to maximize inventory turns, reduce returns and bad goods and to ensure a high quality forecast within ANI Taiwan, for To-Market Sales (TMS), In-Market-Sales (IMS) and consumer offtake

  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams, marketing Insights, regulatory, Area planners, and local supply chain teams striving to provide and accurate demand signal

  • Lead consolidated demand review meeting and challenge the assumptions and numbers provided by an analysis in order to improve forecast accuracy

  • Co-ordinate product channel/customer allocation process when under supply constrain environment

  • Co-ordinate NPI phase-in/out plans according to business plan to maximize product availability launch success and minimize return and bad goods

  • Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to demand planning processes/operations, measure actual performance against goals on regular basis and present results to senior management

  • Co-ordinate S&OP process and maintain high level process standard

Skills & Experience Required:*

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, a related field, or equivalent preferred

  • An advanced credential, such as an MBA, MA, or MS in a relevant discipline preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in demand planning including recent experience with >USD 100MM fast moving physical goods with complex/large scale portfolio

  • ERP usage experience / ERP-WMS interfacing experience

  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment

  • Proven success in improving work processes, leading change and role models positive behaviors as well as change agent skills in a complex and fast paced environment

  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred

  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results

  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization, including English communication skills

  • Business level English communication skills required. (TOIEC 750+)

  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner

  • Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable

  • Strong conflict resolution skills to achieve results through cross-functional groups
