What's the role?
The Sports Digital Team is searching for a dynamic Video and Social Media Producer to join our team. Answering to the Video and Social Lead, this position is a vital part of our video and social media presence, driving video views across all our platforms, digital distribution of content from our numerous digital products and driving high levels of engagement.
A hands-on role, you'll have a creative and technical background in video producing. You'll come up with video and graphic pitch ideas daily and execute and edit them for multiple platforms. You have a deep-running passion for sport, and can work quickly and independently.
Responsibilities:
Identify, produce and deliver high-quality videos for on-site and social platforms quickly and independently, across a broad range of sports
Create assets for social to promote our podcasts and grow audience.
Work closely with the team to identify and share best practice news video storytelling skills and communicate with key stakeholders across the business to ensure video expectations are met
Bring stories to life with your strong video skills and publish them across our apps and websites as well as social media platforms
Shoot, edit and present original videos based on national stories
Discover trending social video content to share on and off NCA news platforms
Provide guidance and training to journalists producers on video best practice
Who are you?
Confident in filming, sourcing and producing video packages that resonate with News Corp audiences
Relevant experience in video producing and editing in a sports environment, or as a social media content creator
Have a solid understanding of social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
Have a strong understanding and are highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro & Adobe Photoshop. Knowledge of is YouTube CMS is desirable.
Confident in basic graphic creation and design
Strong communication, time management, writing and storytelling skills
